Who are you? IRL and gamer Tag

My name is Sean! However, most people probably know me as TwitchyCoffee. I’m a 22-year-old dude from Melbourne, Australia.

What platforms do you create content on?

I mostly broadcast myself on Twitch! I also am the host of The TwitchyCoffee Podcast which I publish on all of your typical podcast platforms.

What is your all-time favourite game?

I have to say Journey. I feel as though the game is proof that video games can be an art form. It’s different to any game I’ve ever played and I love it on every replay. Would recommend.

If you could be one video game character who would it be and why?

Just the main dude in Stardew Valley, so I could spend all day just farming parsnips and having a good ole time.

What or who got you into gaming?

It’s hard to say as I’ve been gaming my whole life. I’d say the day my parents bought home a brand new PlayStation (now PS1) is when I started seeing myself as a gamer.

What do you think of Quantum Energy Drink?

Quantum Energy Drink is a godsend for me. I needed a way to get my energy boost without sugar, while also supporting local business. When I heard about Quantum, it was a no-brainer. I bought my first tube right away, and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since!

What is 1 piece of advice for someone starting out?

Make the kind of content you’d like to watch! It’s so important to love what you make. How can you expect other people to like your stuff if you don’t even like it? Take pride in it.

What is your favourite content creation moment?

Any of the charity streams I’ve organised. Nothing has been as rewarding and fulfilling as that. Who’d have thought it was possible to make such a positive, significant difference just by playing video games and hanging out with your mates? They’re memories I’ll hold onto forever.

What obstacles have you faced with your content? How did you overcome it?

Like a lot of Australians, I spent most of my streaming career with horrible internet. It can be very demotivating, but there’s always a workaround. I played single player story-based games that didn’t require internet. It led to me discovering a lot of amazing games!

What is your favourite gaming snack?

I crush up Quantum Energy and eat it by the spoonful.

What's your favourite thing to do outside gaming?

I spend time with my partner and friends! That’s a boring old-man answer, but I used to spend too much time in my bedroom playing video games. It sucked. Life is about balance!

Who outside of gaming do you look up to as a role model or idol?

My high school media teacher. She was one of those teachers that really went the extra mile. She taught me to be goal-driven, motivated and ambitious. I can honestly attribute any success I’ve ever had to her.
